Unlock the Value of Microsoft 365 Training

An Adelaide-based food manufacturer approached our Principal Consultant (Jodie Wardle) to design and deliver Microsoft 365 training programs for approximately 200 staff. A former manager she had worked with years earlier recognised her background as a certified Microsoft Master Instructor and her experience in delivering large-scale training programs focused on improving organisational collaboration.

Their initial reaction was straightforward — do organisations still need this? They even pointed them toward Microsoft’s free resources.

However, their response resonated with her: “Yes, but you’ll tailor it to our people. You’ll make it relevant.”

The conversation led to an eight-week engagement, delivering structured training programs across Microsoft 365 tools such as Microsoft OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, Team Channels using OneNote, Planner, workflows, Metadata tags, and Microsoft SharePoint. What stood out wasn’t just attendance,  it was the impact on organisational collaboration. Staff returned to their next session already applying what they’d learned, thus improving their day-to-day work efficiency. Technology footprint was reduced by unlocking M365's potential, saving money, reducing risk and improving security.

The final piece of the engagement involved creating twelve step-by-step demonstration micro videos. These resources enabled the organisation to continue their Microsoft 365 journey with new staff without ongoing reliance on external support.

It reinforced something Jodie had observed throughout her career in leadership, training programs, and consulting. Despite the significant investment organisations make in Microsoft 365, they often: rely on workarounds and unnecessary tools, underuse core features, struggle with inconsistent templates and processes, send email file attachments instead of sharing from OneDrive or uploading to an MS Team Channel, face confusion over which files are current leading to duplication, and miss opportunities for effective organisational collaboration. Not to forget still sending emails with attachments and how they become a potential data breach when sent to the wrong person. Purchasing applications from other suppliers when a M365 app is available to do the same thing.
